Drone Practical Safety Rules & Risk Acknowledgement
Version 1.0 · Effective 4 October 2026
About TivloLab drone practicals
Practicals in the Drone Technology course use nano drones weighing under 250 grams, flown under trainer supervision at TivloLab centers or approved open areas. Outdoor flights take place only in green zones on the government's Digital Sky airspace map, below 50 feet, and away from airports, crowds and restricted areas.
The course certificate is a TivloLab certificate of course completion. It is not a Remote Pilot Certificate issued by the DGCA or a DGCA-authorized training organization.
Safety rules every student must follow
- Fly only when the trainer says so, and only in the marked flying area.
- Do not fly over people, roads, vehicles or animals, or near trees and power lines.
- Stay behind the safety line while another student is flying.
- Tie back long hair, and keep fingers away from moving propellers.
- Do not fly in rain, strong wind or poor light.
- Do not take photos or videos of people or private property with a drone without permission.
- Do not take a TivloLab drone outside the session, or fly any personal drone during practicals.
- Report any crash, injury or damage to the trainer immediately.
Risk acknowledgement
I understand that flying drones carries a small risk of minor injury, such as cuts from propellers, and of damage to equipment, even with safety measures in place. I agree to follow these rules and the trainer's instructions. I understand that the trainer may stop me from flying if I break them.
TivloLab will maintain its drones in safe condition, keep first-aid available at every practical, and supervise every flight.
This acknowledgement does not take away any right that a student or parent has under Indian law, including in cases of negligence by TivloLab.
Damage
Accidental damage during a supervised practical is not charged to the student. Damage caused by deliberately breaking these rules may be charged at repair cost.
